Close up photography, also known as macro, is technique used to make small things big.  To accomplish this, the photographer will typically need a tripod and possibly a special macro lens.  This image was captured using a specialty Nikon macro lens, a tripod, and a light box.  Depth of field control can be very challenging in macro photography.  Several shots were taken to achieve this final image where the customer is in focus, but the cook is still recognizable.
